This isn’t Angela’s Ashes, people. Other thing I figured out was that I really dig British chick-lit more than any other, or chick-lit that has the similar humor than Brits do regardless of its origin country. I’d been hoping that life would smack some more sense into this silly airhead, not reinforce her bad habits. It is shopaholjc physically painful to see her destroying her life confesison a new scarf or perfect shoes.
I think this book glamorize this attitude, and not matter how you dress that up, there is nothing glamorous about that.

Reminding me very much of Bridget Jones’s Diarythis was an equally fun read, that had me LOL more than once at the antics, irrational decisions and downward spiral of a shopaholic who, oh yeah also just happens to be a financial journalist.
