Will all of them still be alive when the dust settles? I’ll try not to be spoilery, but in some areas, it can’t be avoided. Haven ist in diesem Band etwas vorsichtiger geworden, jedoch ist sie immer noch etwas naiv und glaubt an das Gute im Menschen.

I liked the different sort of angel and devil lore being ximee, and really found myself drawn to some of the characters. Mar 21, It’s far more interesting, and there are more nuances to deal with. I know that if you compared the ending of the first book, to the ending of this one, it was obvious that this one’s was a looot better.
While we see Haven and the bunch pushed to their furthest limits yet – physically, emotionally, and mentally – we also see a lot of the human condition – what one will do in order to relieve loneliness, stress, and how to feel accepted and safe.
While it served its purpose in really driving the emotional tension of things throughout the book, I’m still not entirely sure if it was needed.
That’s just how I roll, sometimes I get too involved with books and obsessed with knowing how a story is going to end and I just need to get to it even if it could bore me to death. I loved the first book and had high hopes for this one but unfortunately this one fell into the 2ed book trap where it either doesnt live up to the first one or they try to add extra drama to it where the characters act out of what we knew in the first one.
Mar 10, Tansy must untangle herself from Henry’s dangerous reality—before she loses touch with her own life forever. I thought that the undercover voluntourism was a nice touch, but I didn’t necessarily buy the sudden surge of Haven’s powers and the ease with which all the teens learned what they could do.
One thing I do want to mention is that this book should not be read if you haven’t read Illuminate.
Like fallen angels are bad- that’s a given. I loved his interactions with Voodoo Queen he’s apprenticing for as well. I adored it entirely.

As I finished this book in one day, I know I’ll have to block out the date of the third book’s release so I can devour and savor it without stopping.
The same theme as the books in fact – as Agresti points out somewhere in here, Illuminate is the more intellectual and thoughtful of the two, with a slow buildup as Haven unmasks the evil lurking behind the glitz of the Lexington Hotel and her glamorous boss Aurelia, while Infatuate is far more carnal, with good and evil already laid out and Haven having to stop new villain Clio from a murderous rampage and corrupting her fellow angels just in time for Mardi Gras.

Determined to find him, Daphne travels from her home in Pandemonium to the vast streets of Earth, where everything is colder and more terrifying. Second, it really kept me guessing until the end. Dante is a lot of fun as a character, and he’s one of the best friends Haven could ask for.
Only flag comments that clearly need our attention. Why is the cover so So I tried to make her seem like a crazy choice in the beginning and then end up being someone who is really well-respected by the end. Even Haven has a separate love interest. But the only problem is that I didn’t like how the author manipulated some of the characters, especially Lance. I liked this book, but it left me frustrated.
Will I be reading the third one? I still am, because I absolutely have to know what happens next.
Infatuate is, in no particular order, better, worse, and more of the same. So the Secret Service guys take off running after our child, and I start yelling to my husband to get him before the Secret Service does.

I love how caring she is of everyone around her, and she’s definitely a very relatable character to me. And they soon discover their French Quarter housemates are also angels-in-training, and aaimee they must face off with the Krewe in their quest for wings. Now, everything is about to get more serious. Thanks for telling us about the problem. But then, Sabine left at last, then Lance reverted back to his old self. Also, their pretty and emotionally wounded housemate Sabine’s attention focused on Lance, Haven just might lose him for good.
