Lovestruck Summer : Melissa Walker :
Even more so because Quinn was an older character for YA, on the verge of starting college. This book is a fun and quick read. I was also kinda annoyed that it was all just a fling thing, not really into flings, more of the forever kind of love story girl. I did enjoy it, just not as much lovewtruck I would have liked. Quinn really grows over the course of the novel and I love a book with character development.
That goes double for her friend Chrissy.

Ini’s Ravishing Reads Rating: Furthermore, the characters do lack some depth. Figure out your feelings, pick which one you like more, and leave some drama for the rest of us. If ever there was a case for a book in desperate need of a new cover, and possibly a new title, this would be that book.

Priscilla Parker, known better by “Quinn,” just graduated high school and lives her life by the music on her iPod. He’s the very epitome of the pretentious hipster that gives the rest of us a bad name. Lovestruck Summer combines so many things I love: As an intern at indie Amalgam records in Austin, Quinn’s going to stay with her cousin Penny and meet the perfect indie guy in music loving Austin.

There is Penny, Quinn’s cousin, and her sorority sister neighbor Chrissy, who are both so much like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde it’s scary.
Very cute read, no surprises but some good characters and a good lesson about just being yourself. To her surprise, the label agrees, which means she’ll be spending the summer in America’s live music capital, Austin, Texas.

My main problem was with the main character Quinn. It was fun, quick, and light.
He’s got the whole Texas cowboy vibe going and even though Quinn feels sure that is SO not her type, she comes to find that even she is not fully immune to his charm.
