Epistolary novels are unique not only in structure but in the way they allow plot to develop. Her grief prompts him to try to raise her spirits, which results in them having sex in an inn along the way. Where Beauplaisir wants her to have all the power and she indeed takes it all.
Some novels thrive in this form thanks in… The Outsiders- Evelina and Jenny Innocence and delicacy were considered critical values of woman in the eighteenth century. They go to the house and have dinner.
This is a fun and silly story. The young women informed our one and only male character that she was a virgin but he did not believe her, she appeared to be a big time prostitute already having her night plans in order. S HE no sooner heard he had left the Town, than making a Pretence to her Aunt, that she was going to visit a Relation in the Country, went towards Bathattended but by two Servants, who she found Reasons to quarrel with on the Road and discharg’d: The story is written about a woman in ways that were unimaginable in the eighteenth century.
This novel is a short and simple read, yet readers will chuckle at the structure of this story.
It’s a thought provoking read and definitely not the worse I have had to read. Never did any look like you, — write like you, — bless fahtomina you; — nor did ever Man adore as I do.
